Warehouse In early 1996, four leaders at Lake Avenue Church, Pasadena, CA began talking and praying about launching a new worship gathering that would be designed to welcome people who were either unfamiliar with "church" or who wanted to "do church" in a new way. On February 2, 1997, Warehouse met for the first time in an unfinished gym on the 3rd floor of the Family Life Center at Lake Avenue Church.

Since it's original meeting, it has been through many transformations, and variations, but always seeking to follow Jesus, worship Him and strive to be more like Him. In 2004 the leadership went through a time of re-visioning for the Warehouse. The outcome of that re-visioning was the mission statement, core vision, and values that we currently use.

Warehouse continues to be a ministry of Lake Avenue Church (LAC). It meets on the LAC campus, is fully funded through LAC's general fund, and partners with many of LAC's other ministries. As one of the worship services at LAC, Warehouse is highly relational, casual, and missions-oriented in its focus. Attire is comfortable, casual, but, pretty much, whatever you want to wear. The warehouse attendees vary in age, race, and economic background. The music is mostly band led and varies in style from accoustic night, to gospel, to alternative rock. Many Warehouse members serve and participate in other parts of LAC such as the Lake Avenue Community Foundation, Neighborhood Student Mentoring and Children and Student Ministries. At Warehouse we strive to be a people who are welcoming and who are genuinely concerned about our relationship with God and our relationships with other around us.
